Messengers of God

When God's people wandered far from Him into darkness and idolatry, God sent His Word through the prophets Elijah and Elisha to confront His people in their sin, and call them back to Himself. As we look at the lives of these messengers of God in 1–2 Kings, we see the true God’s sovereignty, power, authority, and grace. And ultimately, we see a preview of the ultimate Messenger, and message sent from God, the Son of God himself, our Lord Jesus Christ.
