Synopsis: We live in a world that constantly bombards us with messages and promises of a better life. However, 1 John 2:12–17 reminds us that the key to true life is not found in this world, but in what God has already given us—forgiveness of sins, the knowledge of God, and victory over evil through God's Word. We must therefore set our hearts on God's Word and not love the things of this world.
