Expel the Immoral Man

Synopsis: It has been said that the church should be a hospital for recovering sinners. The church proclaims the gospel message of forgiveness and redemption through Jesus' death and resurrection. So is it ever appropriate for a church to judge and exclude someone from the church (a practice often called "church discipline" or "excommunication")? Shouldn't churches reflect God's love by being non-judgmental and accepting? Yes, churches should reflect the love of God. But they are also called to reflect an indispensable part of God's character: his holiness.
