Jesus says in Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to me.” That is our prayer at ECC, that little children would come to place faith in Jesus Christ and be saved from an early age. To that end, we aim to glorify God by serving the little children we have the privilege of caring for at ECC. Our Children’s Ministry seeks to help children see and savor the gospel of Jesus Christ, hide God’s Word in their hearts, teach children about the fundamental concepts about Christianity, and cultivate a love for the local church.

All of our Children’s Ministry volunteers go through a rigorous screening process to ensure that we are able to care well for the children in our care. All of our volunteers are faithful members of ECC, they've gone through an extensive application process and training, received clearance certificates required by the government, and completed a child safety course in order to protect children from abuse.

 

Ages:
  • Nursery: 0–4
  • EQUIP Kids: KG2–Grade 6
  • Kids’ Sermon Hour Class: KG2–Grade 2
  • Friday Kids’ Bible Club: KG2–Grade 6

 

Nursery (Ages 0–4)

Nursery is designed for babies and preschoolers. This is a time where they are cared for by our volunteers. During our nursery program, we teach at a basic level and share God’s love with them. Your baby will sing songs, follow instructions, memorize gospel truths, and participate in crafts. Upon arrival, you’ll register your child and drop them off in our kids area. They will enjoy this time and grow in their understanding of Jesus, even at their young age. 

Sundays, 9 am, Nursery 3 and Youth Room (first floor)

If you are planning to attend the EQUIP classes, you can drop off your kids in the Nursery where they will be cared for by volunteers.

Sundays, 10 am

We have a number of facilities available for parents and children every Sunday during the worship gathering:

  • Nursery 2 (beside Main Hall 2) is open for parents who would like to stay with their children ages 0–4.
  • Nursery 3 (first floor) is where you can drop off your kids ages 0–2 and they will be cared for by volunteers.
  • Youth Room (first floor) is where you can drop off your kids ages 3–4 and they will be cared for by volunteers
  • Active Child Room in F9 (first floor) is open for parents who would like to stay with their children outside of the other Nursery rooms. Video of the worship gathering will be available.
  • Room F13 (first floor) is dedicated for nursing mothers with children ages 0–2. Video of the worship gathering will be available. Men are not allowed in this room. 

 

EQUIP Kids (KG2–Grade 6)

Sundays, 9 am, F10 and F11 (first floor)

Our EQUIP class for kids focuses on scripture memorization through song. This is a high-energy and engaging time where kids will enjoy memorizing Matthew 6 (the Sermon on the Mount) over the course of the year. We want our kids to learn the truth of scripture by having it deep in their hearts. Be sure to ask about our Truth78 booklet that aids in helping you as a parent teach your child how to memorize scripture.

 

Kids' Sermon Hour Class (KG2–Grade 2)

Sundays, during the sermon hour, F11 (first floor)

The Kids’ Sermon Hour class is held during the preaching portion of the main service. This time is used to train little ones about the core doctrines of the Christian faith. Children participate in the main gathering and are released right before the sermon.

 

Kids' Bible Club (KG2–Grade 6)

Fridays (term-based), 6 pm, F11 for KG2–Grade 2 and Youth Room for Grades 3–6

The Kids’ Bible Club aims to help children grow in their knowledge of Scripture and how all of Scripture points to Jesus Christ. Additionally, we hope that kids develop meaningful relationships with one another. We provide parents with resources to track along with the lessons at home, aiming to come alongside parents in the glorious stewardship of raising image-bearers of God!
