Pastor Cam grew up in Tanzania and Kenya in a missionary family. He received his seminary training in Portland, Oregon and pastored churches in Alaska and Kenya prior to coming to Abu Dhabi.  Pastor Cam has been pastor of the Evangelical Community Church since 1990, and has seen much growth and change since his arrival.  He especially enjoys studying and preaching the Word of God. Cam is married to Esther Ruth, and they have two sons who currently live in the USA. They are also the proud grandparents of 4 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. Pastor Cam enjoys reading, walking on the Corniche with Esther Ruth and an occasional game of golf.

Joe is originally from Texas in the United States. He studied Business Analysis at Texas A & M University and then received a Masters of Divinity from Phoenix Seminary in Phoenix, Arizona. He came to Abu Dhabi in December of 2003. Prior to this he and his family lived and worked in Turkey for seven years. He is currently serving as the associate pastor here at ECC. He especially enjoys sharing his faith with others as well as training people to do the same.

PRISCILLA WILSON
Director of Children's Ministries

Priscilla Wilson, originally from the United States, studied elementary education at Calvary Bible College (BA) and the University of Missouri (MA).

She came from Qatar to Abu Dhabi in 2007. She has been serving in the church as the Director of Children’s Ministries. Her desire is for children to know who God is and how He wants to work in their lives.

She is married to Andy and has 3 grown children. Priscilla especially enjoys curling up with a good P.G. Wodehouse novel and listening to classical music.

Chris, originally comes from Durban, South Africa where he studied Theology at Bethesda Bible College. He came to Abu Dhabi in 2008, after getting married to Ronali.

He has been serving in the church part-time as Youth Pastor, along with Ronali, He also works full time with Youth for Christ in the Arabian Gulf. He especially enjoys seeing teenagers taking a stand for Christ and standing in the gap.

They have a beautiful daughter. He loves to play a game of squash or volleyball when time allows and would love to spend more time camping and seeing God's hand in His creation.

RONALI BRUCE
Youth Pastor

Ronali Bruce is originally from Sri Lanka but born and raised in Abu Dhabi. She calls this country of sand dunes and skyscrapers her home. She studied Mass Communication and Journalism but realized her passions lay elsewhere.

Ronali was an intern with Youth for Christ in 2003 when she decided to come on staff full-time with YFC. During her initial years with YFC she also assisted the previous Youth Pastor at ECC. When he moved on, she came on staff with her husband Chris at ECC to serve in high school ministry. She loves working with teenagers because they remind her of how awesome God is.

Ronali is in her element when she’s left alone to paint and listen to a sci-fi TV show Chris is watching in the background. Together they have a beautiful little girl.

Micah Mercer, originally from Arizona, studied Theology at Sydney Missionary and Bible College in Australia. He came to Abu Dhabi in March 2010 and began serving ECC the following September as the intern pastor coordinating newcomer events, home fellowships, and teaching Christian life classes. He feels that discipleship is key to raising Christ-like believers and especially enjoys small group, in-depth bible studies.

Micah is married to Yujin who works as cabin crew for Etihad Airlines. He enjoys spending time with his wife, working on DIY ("do-it-yourself") projects, tinkering with and fixing things, coffee, baking & cooking, photography, camping & hiking, reading and movies.

CHRISTIE ECKARDT
Graphic Designer

Christie, from Miami, Florida, graduated with degrees in Business and Human Resource Management from the Florida State University in the United States in 1994. She then helped build and maintain the website for Dade County Building Code Compliance for three years before moving on to run the website department for a graphic design agency in Coral Gables, Florida.

She joined the ECC staff in May 2010 to serve as graphic designer and maintain their website and membership database.

She is married to Bernd and has two children. She is the leader for her daughter's Girl Scout Brownie Troop and runs the Prayers & Squares quilt ministry at ECC.

Christopher is from India, born and raised in Gadag, in the state of Karnataka. He moved to Abu Dhabi in 1996 and worked in Electronics Company till 2003 and, in 2004, joined Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) Middle East Office.

He joined the ECC staff in 2008 and does a wide variety of tasks. Christopher married Liz in 1994 and they have two children, Ethan and Christelle.

Liz is from India, born and raised in Mumbai, previously known as Bombay, in the state of Maharashtra.

Liz and Christopher moved to Abu Dhabi in 1996 with secular jobs. She practiced nursing in this country until the Lord, in His sovereign plan, led her to join the ECC staff in 2005. She handles the office scheduling, bulletin announcements and other things that help make our office run smoothly.

She has a flair for languages, so between she and her husband, they can converse, read, and write six Indian languages apart from English. She is fairly good at Arabic too. She has two children.
