Baptism and Communion

June 8, 2018 Preacher: Jeramie Rinne Series: Worship Together

Topic: Expository Scripture: Romans 6:1–11, 1 Corinthians 11:17–34

Synopsis: Jesus gave his church two ceremonies as part of our public worship: baptism and communion. These beautiful rituals communicate a lot. They are visible pictures of the gospel message, and they symbolize both the beginning of our new life in Jesus (baptism) and our ongoing dependence on Jesus (communion). They do something else very critical to corporate worship. They publicly mark out who the worshiping community is.
